We are very happy to welcome on board the Visakha SPCA, a refuge in Inida where they not only perform a great job by sterilising 30-40 stray dogs a day! but also have a shelter for cows, monkeys, birds etc.

Today we received pictures from Bahrein with Pirate. The AMCF has helped out with the operation of Pirate whose frontleg was badly broken in many places (see under Emergency). On the photos (go to Shelters and click on the photo of Bahrein to go to the gallery) you can see she is doing wonderfull!

Today the AMCF received the KGB (Quality Mark Well Spent), a garantee for supporters and sponsors that the foundation has been checked for several points and approved.

Yesterday I went to the Estivales (see blog below), to meet Kerenza Vlastou of the WSPA and hopefully meet new people. The meeting with Kerenza went wonderfull, I was able to tell her about the AMCF and we will soon apply for membership. The event was for me very disappointing, I felt there was no organisation, I saw people chatting and relaxing beside their car or in the sun so eventhough it was 3,5 hours drive, I went back the same evening.

News from Tony Waters on Pirate:

Pirate is a wonder full dog and is doing fine,as you will see on the video. she;s become  a celebrity,and everyone loves her. All her costs were covered , thanks to you, and the extra donations went into the Pirate account at the vet for spaying and neutering all the rescue dogs and cats at the "holiday camp".

The Estivales de la question animale is an encounter held each Summer in France since 2002, in an atmosphere both studious and relaxed.

The Estivales are open to all those who are interested by the animal question, that is by the question of sentient beings.

The Estivales 2008 will take place from Saturday 16th to Saturday 23rd August at Parménie in the Isère département in South-East France. http://question-animale.org/en.html
