We started in March 2006, when six women decided to do something to help stray cats. The first important program was sterilization of stray cats; in 9 months we sterilized about 600 cats (especially female) and we received about 160 kittens.

First year we didnt’t have any municipal contributions and we survived thanks to charity, now we work to help stray cats into six town councils and everybody give to us a little contribution.

We take care of sterilization, sustaining, medical treatment (thanks to veterinary), assistance; we are available 24 hours every days because now we are supported by 20 volunteers.
We take care of 400 cats divided in 50 colonies and we have affixed some wooden refuges as you can see in some photos.
We have a shelter where 60 cats live, we have decided to vaccinate all cats, they are very happy because they live free in countryside.

We spend each month about 2.000,00 euro for medicins, food, veterinary costs. We spend more for medicins because we decided to vaccinate all kittens before adoption. We publish a newspaper called “cani e gatti” (dogs and cats) with other associations and town council, and every year we organize an animal photograph exhibition.

We wish to continue to help cats and make innovations to our refuge, so we hope that you can realize our plan.

Update september 2011: Helaas hebben we al heel lang geen contact meer gehad met hen waardoor we hen niet meer kunnen helpen.
