Huayyang Dog rescue Centre - Thailand
Warin Taphaothong who has lived in Holland for some years, has started since 2002 an independent project in southern Thailand to care for neglected and ill homeless street dogs. What once began as a small one man project and human help, has over the years grown into a large dog population of 200 dogs and needs help to be able to continue.
The sanctuary consists of changeless street dogs which can not be rehomed in families and need to reside permanently in the sanctuary.
When animals arrive or be dumped in the center they usually find themselves in a bad or very bad state, they are first screened and then treated before to be admitted to the large group that lives in a 57x38 meter piece of land.
Warin also takes care of the dogs at the local temple along with several volunteers. At this moment I (Ton Popelier) am working for Warin to seek sponsors to help her.WEBSITE
