"FRIDAY THE BRAVE" LOSES BATTLE WITH LIFE.

"Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none." ~ William Shakespeare
"Friday", the beautiful pedigree Husky, rescued from a township outside Cape Town in September, passed away after 3 weeks of intensive efforts to save his life.
Friday was rescued after his owner called ARO to report that he was "sick". The truth was, he had been so badly starved, that he had collapsed and was close to dying. Due to the fact that Fridays' "owners" called the Animal Rescue Organisation for help, makes prosecution impossible. His months of unnecessary suffering could have been prevented.
Again we appeal to the public to stop breeding puppies and kittens. Please support our work to relieve the suffering of animals across the Cape's impoverished communities. Your gift makes all the difference.
NEW MOBILE CLINIC BECOMES A REALITY
DREAMS ARE FREE, SO FREE YOUR DREAMS ~ Astrid Alauda
After years of working from converted bakkies, struggling with battered equipment and out of date equipment, ARO staff dreamt of a more efficient and up to date working environment! Thanks to our dynamic thinking and progressive teamwork, we will now be able to work better, smarter and more efficiently from our new Mobile Clinic. With the most generous and wonderful financial assistance from a dear friend of ARO (you know who you are!), we have purchased a 2008 Nissan Interstar Panel Van which will be converted into a fully functioning Mobile Clinic. Well done to everyone who helped find & fund this ideal vehicle. Good luck to our staff as they head off to a new type of working experience! We will let you know if future newsletters how our fieldwork is improving.
