 I hope this helps you out. By the way Boro is the area in S.Corfu where =
the shelter is located.

A difficult winter at Corfu Dog Shelter (Boro) but we survived. We were =
up to about 80 dogs and still have about 70. The first flight to Germany =
was today. One dog, Sandy, went to a new home. Over the winter we =
managed a few transports by road; some by us to Ancona Italy where =
people from the organisation in Germany met us and took the dogs from =
there. The last trip was done by me and a kind volunteer helper in my =
old van. We managed to take 10 dogs and 8 puppies to Dusseldorf and the =
van didn't break down. I was nervous, believe me, as I had said I =
wouldn't do this journey until I got a newer van. But this hasn't =
happened and necessity forced me to take the risk after many trips to =
the mechanic to fix this and that.

The weather was terrible in Corfu this winter; rain, rain, rain and mud, =
mud, mud. Things are drying out now and soon we will have dust, dust, =
dust. But at least the dogs are off of the streets; I only wish we could =
take in all of the needy ones on the island but this will never happen. =
Only a lucky few manage to get to us and then to new families in =
Germany. We expect visits from a few members of the organisation this =
month and some of our dogs will go with them when they return home. =
Fingers crossed for a good summer of rehoming.
