Uruguay: Animal Help

 In Uruguay the penalty laws don’t  consider animals as lives, but as things,  if somebody harms an animal, it is like destroying private property.

Animal Help rescues every kind of Animal.  Amoung them: sea gulls, sea wolves, penguins, assit them and take them to Richard Tesore the founder of SOS Fauna Marina de Punta Colorada, he rescues sea animals and is an expert.  We also rescue wild animals, and when they are recovered we free them in the wild, such as: birds, weasels, lizards, onza a big, wild, black cat with very big teeth, otters, etc.,

We also rescue mistreated horses, thanks to law 5657 of 1918, we recover them and make them be free at farms. Here in Uruguay there are horse slaughter houses. Horses are the worst mistreated animals.

In January 1999 I founded Animal Help,  we rescue all kinds of animals, I don’t agree with castrating female dogs that are about to have puppies. I don’t agree with killing abandonned puppies.  I answer all the emergency calls, help assist wounded or ill animals with an owner when they can’t bring it over, through my knowledge. I am a vet assistant and make all the medial treatments to all my rescues. My Vet Diego Caraballo comes to Animal Help, when there is an emergency that needs surgery or when I have dogs for castration. And he charges me very little money  for the surgeries even for bone surgery.  We try to find good homes for the recovered ones, in the meantime they are looked after, loved, castrated, receive vaccines against viruses, anti worms and anti tick and flea treatment.
