Why / Waarom
Maybe you think "WHY? Why another organisation, there are already so many organisations".
In many countries animalwelfare is not important. Volunteers work hard to help the animals in often very poor conditions (no running water or electricity). Support from government is far to seek and they are depending on gifts. It is not hard to imagine that there is just enough money (or often not even) to buy food, let alone give medical treatment. Toys are a luxoury item, but we feel that a toy can bring a bit of sunshine in the life of a dog, cat or rodent, that is why we call it careproducts.
The AMCF holds animal welfare very high, that is why we help where needed. Each shelter is provided with a list they can fill in with the things they need most. In this way we divide the donations in a way that every body gets what they need and don't get anything they don't really need.
The problem with stray animals can be solved by neutering, that is why the AMCF strongly supports the No Kill Policy (spay/neuture, vaccinate, identiy, release).
We are not political, we do not judge, we try to become 'the red cross for animals'.
And why....... well maybe the pictures below can convince you, then words are not necessary.

Waarom
Misschien vraagt u zich af "WAAROM Waarom weer een organisatie, er zijn al zoveel organisaties"?
In veel landen staat dierenwelzijn op een laag pitje. Vrijwilligers doen hun uiterste best om met vaak minimale middelen (soms zonder stromend water of electriciteit) de dieren te helpen. Steun van gemeente of overheid is ver te zoeken en men is grotendeels of soms volledig afhankelijk van giften. Het is niet moeilijk voor te stellen dat er dan nauwelijks geld is voor voedsel laat staan voor medische verzorging. Speelgoed is iets waar helemaal geen geld voor is en juist dit kan net een stukje plezier in het leven van een asiel hond of kat (of knaagdier) brengen. Daarom noemen wij dit zorgproducten.
De AMCF heeft dierenwelzijn hoog in het vaandel, daarom willen wij helpen daar waar nodig is en waar behoefte aan is. Elk opvangcentra kan een lijst opgeven wat men nodig heeft, zo kunnen wij de donaties goed verdelen. Zo krijgt iedereen wat nodig is en voor de sponsors en donateurs is het goed om te zien dat hun donatie ook echt benut wordt.
De AMCF gelooft dat het probleem van de zwerfdieren alleen opgelost kan worden door sterilisatie projecten en is daarom een groot voorstander van de No Kill strategie (sterilisatie, vaccinatie, tatouage/chip, vrijlaten).
Wij zijn niet politiek, we vellen geen oordeel, we willen het 'rode kruis voor dieren' zijn.

Dog in Qatar, his ears are covered in 100s of tics..... This dog was not protected against tics nor treated by it's owner.
Doris a dog with severe mange, after her owner used her as a practice object for his rottweiler she was saved by SPARE Egypt and lives now a happy and healthy life after being treated for the mange.
Duke, drunk owner knocked his teeth out and tied him up in the field, he could not eat grass and almost starved to death. Treatment with vitamines and anti worm care, healed him.
For her help came to late, she died of dehydration by standing in the full sun with 40C, she fought for her life because her owner would not spend money on euthanisia. A simple treatment with fresh water en electrolyte, and some shade would have saved her life.
2 year old horse with neurological problems, a few sessions with a chiropractor and normal care would have saved him, for him help came to late.
Lupe heavily mistreated horse, big hole beated in her chest, blind on 1 eye because of beating, due to intensive caring (mostly 'simple' with Betadine and a special mix of sinc) the wound is healed after 4 months. However she is still afraid of being touched.
